Cook steamed recipes

By adding water to the pot and inserting the attached steam plate, you can enclose the rich taste and nutrients of ingredients without using oil.The plate is deep enough to place many ingredients and the holes allow excess moisture and oils to filter out. The shape of the hole on the rim is designed so that you can hook your finger to remove the plate easily.

Two size available

1.2L (for 1 to 2 people) is compact and easy to use every day. 2.5L (for 3 to 4 people) is active in the gathering scene

High-quality material

Advantage of the low water absorption rate Water absorption rate indicates the degree of water that seeps into the pot. As KAKOMI has a very low water absorption rate, it is easy to maintain clean and prevents odors from remaining. You can cook a pot-dish full of spices one day and make something completely different the next day.

Function of the multi-layered structure The heating element, which allows the pot to be used on an induction cooktop, features a multi-layered structure. Glass-like glaze is sprayed evenly on the heat resistant ceramic. It is then coated with three layers of silver film and glass coating. The glass coating protects the heating element to prevent uneven heating and abnormal over-heating.

FAQ

HOW MANY CUP OF RICE CAN YOU COOK?

KAKOMI IH donabe 1.2L: 2 cup of rice
KAKOMI IH donabe 2.5L: 3 cup of rice

*Rice cooking is recommended to be cooked on an open fire. Since when cooked with induction heater, unevenness may occur and the rice may partially leave the core.
*Be careful not to burn or spill when cooking.

SHOULD I DO "MEDOME" BEFORE TO USE?

The KAKOMI IH donabe absorbs almost no water, so there is no need to "medome" it at the beginning of use. Please use after lightly washing with a neutral detergent.

HOW CAN I REMOVE BURNT FOOD FROM A POT?

Fill the pot with wnough water and boil water, reduce the heat to low, add 1 tablespoon of baking soda, and boil water for 2-3 minutes. Once cooled naturally, gently scrape it off with a melamine sponge. Please refrain from using a melamine sponge for the heating element on the back side, and use a soft sponge.

Make a delicious pot of rice

The pot made of clay retains heat,
and the double lid generates the right level of pressure inside the pot to cook
each grain of rice evenly.

The secret of deliciousness

Far-infrared radiation effect for fluffy rice

The pot's ceramic material releases far-infrared radiation which heats the ingredients inside. Putting the pot over direct fire increases this effect, resulting in a fluffy textured rice.

Designed for perfect convection

The rounded shape of the pot creates convection for each grain of rice to be cooked evenly. Having both the inner and outer lids generate the right level of pressure inside and prevents contents from boiling over.

Low water absorption rate

The heat-resistant ceramic pot tolerates a heat-temperature difference of 500 degrees celsius. It has a very low water absorption rate*, preventing lingering odors and residue. After cooking a pot-dish full of spices, it is easy to maintain clean.
*Water absorption rate indicates the degree of water that seeps into the pot.

Easy measuring

There are reference lines inside the pot for measuring rice and water. For 1 cup of rice, add water up to the bottom line. For 2 cups of rice, add water up to the top line. You can also use the measure cup that comes with the product. For cooking 1 cup of rice, add 1 cup + 20ml of water, and for 2 cups of rice, add 2 cups + 40ml of water. Adjust the amount of water accordingly to suit your taste and the different types of rice.
